Shining Silver at Summer Champs 2008

In the Gold Cup, having completed dressage and Working Hunter sections then showjumping over coloured poles, Kelsterton Merlin and Vicky White finished 2nd in the individual.

Merlin

Merlin rose to the occasion in the evening championship under the spotlights. Honoured to have been selected to jump on the England Team at the Summer Championships and sport the Union Jack, the pair competed consistently at high level throughout the event.
'He jumped awesome!' said Vicky of Merlin 'The jumps were really big and he is a star. We are now looking forward to HOYS'.

Rewards come in many forms, from rossette winning clients as a result of training to personal notes received in the post. Either way, it is always nice to be appreciated!

"Thank you Steve for the fab lessons. I'm working on everything you told me to and 'Buttons' is being very good. Best Wishes, Steph "(aged 9 from Buckinghamshire) Steve was delighted to receive a thank you letter and photograph of a painting created especially by Stephanie Graves. A talented young rider on her Connemara bred grey pony and budding artist too.

Steve Worker has been selected to coach the Bucks area Pony Club teams throughout the 2008 season and is really looking forward to encouraging the enthusiastic young competitors on the flat and over fences.

Congratulations to Vicky White for achieving a magic clear round at HOYS with her Merlin, which resulted in their top 5 placing in the final line up.

Kelsterton Merlin has been a prolific winning combination with Vicky this season. A delighted Vicky reports "We've loved every minute of HOYS as we do all the shows we have won at, and could not have been here without Steve's help.... thanks Steve!"

Thrilled to report that 'Tradition' since being sold to lovely new owner in the Spring, the new partnership is proving a suitable successful match. Having settled in his new home, he's been out jumping and doing lots of things including eventing and workers. Proud to report he got a 9 in his dressage score and double clears eventing. In the placings county workers in good company too! Well done and continued good luck June and Team!

Clocking up the double clears for second round qualification in Discovery show jumping classes, Tradition is proving himself to be a true jumper and worthy of his performance breeding on King of Diamonds line. Set for participation in Working Hunter classes, Steve is pleased with the development of this lovely character horse.

Heather Leighton is excelling in affiliated dressage with her rocking horse ornament dapple grey gelding 'Present' who she describes as an equine Julian Clarey!

Heather Present

Always in the prizes and points with wins at novice and elementary level having qualified for the regionals in both, she is delighted with the results of all the hard work training and preparation Steve Worker and his team have put in for their full enjoyment. Having hit a cross roads with her horse in autumn 2004, Heather was recommended by top equine vet Jane Nixon to go to Steve for help and guidance and they have not looked back.

Doctor Sally Edmonds has achieved great results with Steve's help and preparation training during the past 3 years, including notable wins at Herts County in the light weight cob class against top names and as a working cob on the county show circuit.

Sally Donald

Sally enjoyed hunting 'Donald' before the 'ban' and combines her day job with interest by being official medic on site at point-to-points and the Blenheim horse trials.
